Emily Fons, mezzo-soprano

Mezzo-soprano Emily Fons recently finished her second summer as an apprentice with the Santa Opera. In Santa Fe she has covered Meg Page in FALSTAFF, sung Flora in LA TRAVIATA and also performed a series of holiday concerts throughout New Mexico and Texas. Ms. Fons has performed with Indianapolis Opera singing Kate in PIRATES OF PENZANCE and the Sandman in HANSEL UND GRETEL. She received her B.A from Luther College and her M.M. from Southern Illinois University. Emily looks forward to joining the Ryan Opera Center at the Lyric Opera of Chicago in April of 2010.
